 While playing at Binion's Casino I noticed several skill based games. Most of these were advertised as arcade slots. Sadly, I did not take a picture of any of these machines. After some research I found a company called Synergy Blue that develops skill based slots. The company has patented "HAWG" which stands for Hybrid Arcade Wagering Game. Look out for these types of slots next time you visit a casino, they are legal in most jurisdictions.

Omaha poker is another popular form of poker at the moment. Most casinos offer both Texas Hold'em and Omaha poker in the poker room. Here are some basics of Omaha poker; Each player is dealt 4 cards faced down. Players must use 2 of their cards to make their best hand. They are required to use 2 of their own cards, not more and not less, for the hand. Five community (shared) cards are dealt. They are dealt during the flop, the turn, and the river with betting in between each round. 888 poker lists the following as the best starting Omaha hands.

  My favorite slot machine to play while in Las Vegas was the Fortune Cup horse race slot machine. It features small mechanical horses running around a small track. The slots are lacking in actual horse background, the names and numbers are randomly assigned each run. You place bets based on the horse's statistical chance to win, which is the only information provided.  You can bet on a horse to come in first or pick a winning combination of first and second place. I found it easier to bet on one horse  to win. This was the only scenario where I won. While I had little success on this machine, it was the most fun to play.
